Aktuelle News01.02.25 - 10:32 UhrFood, Lists, Waiting Lists, etc. English (German below) Dear All, it's only two more weeks till the tourney! We are just as excited as you are. I have some more info now that the tourney is close at hand. FOOD: We will provide lunch on both Saturday and Sunday included in your attendance fee. In case someone is allergic or has certain dietary needs, let me know. There is always a vegetarian option, also there will be a salad bar. Food options in the area around the venue are sparse (car needed). Here is what will be served: Saturday - Beef patty with mashed potatoes, peas, and root vegetables. Alternatively: Vegetable patty. Sunday - Pasta bar with at least 4 different sauces/pesto and grilled vegetables. We will have drinks (non-alcoholic) and snacks available as well throughout the tourney. LISTLOCK AND STATS: Listlock on Friday, 14th of February, 2025 10 pm. Please enter your faction and your two lists as soon as possible. I will check lists before that date and make sure everything is in order. It will greatly facilitate things for me, if everyone has entered their lists by Wednesday before the tourney. Also: We will create name badges that include your faction. Please fill out Stats as soon as possible with your correct faction, so we don't have false badges! The Brotherhood is now in Warcouncil and Stats, so no need to work around it. Please provide printed copies of your lists in double version (one for tourney organizers and one for your opponent). WAITING LIST and cancelling your participation As always with a big tournament, we have had cancellations. Until now we were always able to guarantee a refund of your participation fee, but as of 1st of February, we have fixed costs. So a refund can only be given, if we find a paying replacement. We have some substitutes that will fill in last minute cancellations, but since they do not pay, they don't count as replacements, obviously. Da das Turnier nun näher rückt, habe ich noch ein paar weitere Infos für euch. **ESSEN:** Wir stellen an beiden Tagen, Samstag und Sonntag, ein Mittagessen zur Verfügung, das in der Teilnahmegebühr enthalten ist. Falls jemand Allergien hat oder spezielle Ernährungsbedürfnisse bestehen, lasst es mich bitte wissen. Es gibt immer eine vegetarische Option, außerdem wird es eine Salatbar geben. Die Essensmöglichkeiten in der Umgebung des Veranstaltungsortes sind begrenzt (Auto benötigt). Hier ist, was serviert wird: **Samstag** – Rindfleischfrikadelle mit Kartoffelpüree, Erbsen und Wurzelgemüse. Dennis (RustyMcClean) Geschrieben von RustyMcClean 24.01.25 - 10:36 Uhr News Painting Contest at War of the North Info: War of the North - Painting Contests English: The tournament features 3 Contests: Best Painted Army, Best Painted Unit, Best Painted Single Mini. Definitions: Single Miniature definition: Any single ASoIaF:TMG miniature mounted on its original base (no movement tray). Unit definition: Infantry units containing all 12 models / Cavalry units containing all 4 models mounted on an appropriate movement tray. All war machine type units are considered units for the purposes of the painting contest, meaning units on large solo trays (i.e. Stonethrower, Hrakkars, etc.). Army definition: A best painted army entry must be in the range of 38-42 points consisting of items from your two army lists entered into the tournament. That means that you can mix units and miniatures from either of your two army lists to create your best painted army entry. If the movement trays have extensive conversions, the models on a unit tray must still be removable, as needed for play purposes. Onsite judging: A jury of judges will examine entries as a group and make a first cut for each contest, narrowing it down to a group of entries with the potential to place as winners. In the subsequent step the top cut entries will be judged individually by judges based on points given in three categories: Technical Quality: This includes all the skills used in painting and basing, as well as, finishing this entry. Artistic Quality: This includes all aesthetic and creative decisions made in the creation of the work, like, but not limited to, composition, color scheme, conversions. Narrative Quality: The atmosphere evoked by the piece. The entry should allow the reader to invoke the imagination, fill in the blanks and create a story fitting the world of ASoIaF in their mind. Each contestant can only enter one entry to each contest. All submitted minis must be part of one of your two army lists. A miniature cannot participate in multiple contests. There will be a Top Cut judging during lunch break, then a second round of judging the finalists on Saturday after the 3rd round of matches. For judging purposes, pictures will be taken of the entries and may be posted on the Hits and Crits Instagram, YouTube and Discord. Pictures of the winning entries will be presented at the painting contest award ceremony during the tournament for all to behold. At registration on Saturday morning, you will need to mark which painting contests you would like to participate in. You will receive a slip of paper to write your name on. During lunch break, participants must display their entries on designated tables together with their name. Definitionen: - **Definition Einzelminiatur**: Jede einzelne ASoIaF:TMG-Modell das auf seiner Originalbase montiert ist (ohne Bewegungstablett). - **Definition Einheit**: Infanterie-Einheiten mit allen 12 Modellen / Kavallerie-Einheiten mit allen 4 Modellen, montiert auf einem passenden Bewegungstablett. Alle Einheiten vom Typ Kriegsmaschine werden für die Zwecke des Malwettbewerbs als Einheiten betrachtet, d. h. Einheiten auf großen Solo-Bases (z. B. Steinwerfer, Hrakkars, usw.). - **Definition Armee**: Ein Eintrag für die „Bestbemalte Armee“ muss im Bereich von 38–42 Punkten liegen und aus Elementen deiner beiden Armeelisten bestehen, die im Turnier verwendet werden. Das bedeutet, dass du Einheiten und Miniaturen aus beiden Listen kombinieren kannst, um deine bestbemalte Armee zusammenzustellen. Alle eingereichten Miniaturen müssen Teil einer deiner beiden Armeelisten sein. Eine Miniatur kann nicht in mehreren Wettbewerben teilnehmen. Die Top-Auswahl der Beiträge wird während der Mittagspause bewertet, die Finalisten werden dann am Samstag nach der dritten Spielrunde untereinander beurteilt. Für Bewertungszwecke werden Fotos der Beiträge gemacht und möglicherweise auf dem **Hits and Crits**-Instagram, YouTube und Discord veröffentlicht. Es erwartet euch ein kompetitives Turnier, das trotzdem Platz für Anfänger bietet. Alle kämpfen um den Titel des King in the North, den LArks als Gewinner vom letzten Jahr verteidigen muss. Es sind drei internationale Spieler aus Rotterdam, sechs Spieler aus Dänemark und zwei Gäste aus den USA dabei. Content Creator Jeroen von den „Rotterdam White Scars“ kommt aus den Niederlanden und Randall von „Imperial Minis“ kommt erneut den ganzen Weg aus den USA. Damit es das großartige Event wird, das wir geplant haben, wollen wir euch hier ein paar wichtige Infos zukommen lassen: Listen eintragen auf Stats und Deadline Viele von euch haben sich schon auf Stats eingetragen. Bitte tragt euch so bald wie möglich ein. Die Listen müssen bereits am 14.02.2025 bis 22 Uhr eingetragen sein, danach werden sie geschlossen. Grund hierfür ist, dass wir am Freitag vor dem Turnier ggf. noch Unklarheiten zu den Listen klären können. Ablauf am Samstag, 15. Februar 2025: Bei so vielen Teilnehmern, dauert der Anfang schnell mal länger. Kommt daher bitte bis 9:00 Uhr an der Location an. Haupteingang des Gymnasiums Farmsen von der Straße Swebenhöhe aus. Wir wollen um 9:40 mit der allgemeinen Begrüßung starten, davor solltet ihr euch angemeldet, bereits euren ersten Tisch gefunden und euch dort eingerichtet haben. Ihr werdet am Haupteingang einzeln begrüßt, müsst euch dann in eine Liste eintragen, unterschreiben ob Fotos von euch gemacht werden dürfen (z.B. In der Straße Swebenhöhe sind freie Parkplätze an der Straße, die je nach Uhrzeit aber mehr oder weniger besetzt sind. In der Swebenhöhe gibt es noch einen kleinen abgetrennten Parkplatz neben der Sporthalle der Schule für etwa 6 Autos. Hinter der Schule gegenüber der Hausnummer „Bramfelder Weg 111“ (ins Navi eingeben) ist ein großer Parkplatz an den Sporthallen für ca 20 Autos, der leider auch von Anwohnern genutzt wird, allerdings sollten dort hoffentlich für die meisten Teilnehmer:innen Parkplätze sein. Keine Garantie. Im Bramfelder Weg selber kann man ebenfalls im hinteren Teil auf der Seite am Staßenrand parken. Ihr müsst dann von der Swebenhöhe aus den Haupteingang nutzen, eventuell erst ausladen, dann vernünftigen Parkplatz suchen. Schedule for Saturday, February 15, 2025 With so many participants, the start can take longer than expected. Please arrive by 9:00 AM at the venue: the main entrance of the Gymnasium Farmsen on Swebenhöhe Street. We plan to start the general welcome at 9:40 AM, so by then, you should have checked in, found your first table, and set up. You’ll be greeted individually at the main entrance, where you’ll need to sign in, confirm whether photos of you may be taken (e.g., during the award ceremony), and indicate if and which painting contests you’d like to enter: Best Painted Army (one of your submitted army lists) Best Painted Unit (infantry, cavalry, war machines, monsters, etc.) Best Painted Single Miniature (attachments, solos, NCUs). — Please read the info below about the painting contest for all necessary details. — — All submitted minis must be part of one of your two lists. On Swebenhöhe Street, there are street parking spaces, but availability varies. A small parking lot next to the school gym (Swebenhöhe) has space for about 6 cars. A larger parking lot near the sports halls is located behind the school (opposite house number Bramfelder Weg 111, which you can enter in your GPS). This lot has space for about 20 cars but is also used by residents. Most participants should hopefully find parking here, but there’s no guarantee. In Bramfelder Weg itself, you can park along the street in the rear section. Please use the main entrance on Swebenhöhe. You might want to unload your gear first before looking for a parking spot.
