| 2025-01-19 16:57 Deutsch (English below): Lieber Teilnehmer, liebe Teilnehmerin am „War of the North: Second Strike“ in Hamburg, unser großes Wochenende rückt näher, wir immer noch ausgebucht mit 64 Teilnehmer:innen! Bleibt bitte alle gesund. Wie krass, dass wir in diesem Jahr wieder so ein großes Turnier mit euch auf die Beine stellen können und es so schnell ausgebucht war. Danke! Es erwartet euch ein kompetitives Turnier, das trotzdem Platz für Anfänger bietet. Alle kämpfen um den Titel des King in the North, den LArks als Gewinner vom letzten Jahr verteidigen muss. Es sind drei internationale Spieler aus Rotterdam, sechs Spieler aus Dänemark und zwei Gäste aus den USA dabei. Content Creator Jeroen von den „Rotterdam White Scars“ kommt aus den Niederlanden und Randall von „Imperial Minis“ kommt erneut den ganzen Weg aus den USA. BattleReports, Sponsoren, Loot, nette Leute und die typische Hits and Crits Atmosphäre erwarten euch hier in Hamburg. Damit es das großartige Event wird, das wir geplant haben, wollen wir euch hier ein paar wichtige Infos zukommen lassen: Listen eintragen auf Stats und Deadline Viele von euch haben sich schon auf Stats eingetragen. Bitte tragt euch so bald wie möglich ein. Die Listen müssen bereits am 14.02.2025 bis 22 Uhr eingetragen sein, danach werden sie geschlossen. Grund hierfür ist, dass wir am Freitag vor dem Turnier ggf. noch Unklarheiten zu den Listen klären können. Ablauf am Samstag, 15. Februar 2025: Bei so vielen Teilnehmern, dauert der Anfang schnell mal länger. Kommt daher bitte bis 9:00 Uhr an der Location an. Haupteingang des Gymnasiums Farmsen von der Straße Swebenhöhe aus. Wir wollen um 9:40 mit der allgemeinen Begrüßung starten, davor solltet ihr euch angemeldet, bereits euren ersten Tisch gefunden und euch dort eingerichtet haben. Ihr werdet am Haupteingang einzeln begrüßt, müsst euch dann in eine Liste eintragen, unterschreiben ob Fotos von euch gemacht werden dürfen (z.B. Siegerehrung) und angeben, ob und an welchem Painting Contest ihr teilnehmen wollt: Best Painted Army (eine eurer eingereichten Armeelisten) Best Painted Unit (Infanterie, Kavalerie, Kriegsmaschinen, Monster…) Best Painted Single Miniature (Attachments, Solos, NCUs). — Bitte lest die Infos weiter unten zum Painting Contest. Hier steht alles nötige! — — Alle eingereichten Minis müssen Teil einer eurer beiden Listen sein. Eine Mini kann nicht in mehreren Contests starten. — Findet nach Ankunft bitte euren ersten Spieltisch. Paarungen werden am Vorabend gegen 20 Uhr auf Stats ausgelost und sind ab da einsehbar, inklusive Tischnummer (Spiel 1 = Tisch 1). Richtet euch dort noch vor der allgemeinen Begrüßung um 9:40 ein und baut eure Armeen und Zubehör auf! Legt eure beiden Listen in Papierform dort bereit für euren Gegner. Um 9:40 allgemeine Begrüßung durch Hits and Crits. Um 9:45 Final Call zum Registrieren. 10 Uhr Spielbeginn Runde 1. Nach dem ersten Spiel um 12 Uhr beginnt die Mittagspause (Mittagessen ist in Gebühr inbegriffen) und danach die letzten beiden Runden für den Samstag. Nach der dritten Runde werden die Qualifikanten für den Top Cut der Painting Contests bekannt gegeben. Der Top Cut wird danach von der Jury bewertet. Im Anschluss daran geht es zur „AfterParty“, heisst zum gemeinsamen Essen und Socializing im Bar-Restaurant Feuervogel, Wandsbeker Chaussee (Anmeldung über GoogleDocs, siehe unten!) Gemeinsames Essen und Socializing Hits and Crits hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt die Song Community (nicht nur in Norddeutschland) zusammen zu bringen. Ihr folgt dem Ruf nach Hamburg und wir wollen euch an einen Tisch setzen! Dazu haben wir einen großen, separaten Raum (deutlich größer als im letzen Jahr) im Feuervogel in der Wandsbeker Chaussee fürs Essen, Trinken, Socializen am Samstag Abend reserviert. Die Location ist sowohl Restaurant, als auch Cocktail Bar und ca. 15 Minuten mit dem Auto vom Turnier entfernt (oder 30 min mit Öffis, UBahn Wandsbeker Chaussee ist 3 Gehminuten entfernt vom Restaurant). Es gibt die Möglichkeit individuell von der Karte zu bestellen. Ab 21 Uhr ist Cocktail Happy Hour. Bier gibt‘s aber auch. Bitte tragt euch bis zum 02.02.2025 in das hier verlinkte GoogleDocs ein, wenn ihr an dem gemeinsamen Essen am Samstag Abend teilnehmen wollt und gebt an, ob ihr bei dem Burger Special dabei seid. In der Straße Swebenhöhe sind freie Parkplätze an der Straße, die je nach Uhrzeit aber mehr oder weniger besetzt sind. In der Swebenhöhe gibt es noch einen kleinen abgetrennten Parkplatz neben der Sporthalle der Schule für etwa 6 Autos. Hinter der Schule gegenüber der Hausnummer „Bramfelder Weg 111“ (ins Navi eingeben) ist ein großer Parkplatz an den Sporthallen für ca 20 Autos, der leider auch von Anwohnern genutzt wird, allerdings sollten dort hoffentlich für die meisten Teilnehmer:innen Parkplätze sein. Keine Garantie. Im Bramfelder Weg selber kann man ebenfalls im hinteren Teil auf der Seite am Staßenrand parken. Ihr müsst dann von der Swebenhöhe aus den Haupteingang nutzen, eventuell erst ausladen, dann vernünftigen Parkplatz suchen. To ensure this event becomes as fantastic as planned, we’d like to provide you with some important information: Registering Lists on Stats and Deadlines Many of you have already registered on Stats. Please do so as soon as possible. Lists must be registered by February 14, 2025, at 10:00 PM, after which submissions will be closed. This deadline ensures that we can resolve any issues with lists on the Friday before the tournament. Schedule for Saturday, February 15, 2025 With so many participants, the start can take longer than expected. Please arrive by 9:00 AM at the venue: the main entrance of the Gymnasium Farmsen on Swebenhöhe Street. We plan to start the general welcome at 9:40 AM, so by then, you should have checked in, found your first table, and set up. You’ll be greeted individually at the main entrance, where you’ll need to sign in, confirm whether photos of you may be taken (e.g., during the award ceremony), and indicate if and which painting contests you’d like to enter: Best Painted Army (one of your submitted army lists) Best Painted Unit (infantry, cavalry, war machines, monsters, etc.) Best Painted Single Miniature (attachments, solos, NCUs). — Please read the info below about the painting contest for all necessary details. — — All submitted minis must be part of one of your two lists. A mini cannot compete in multiple contests. — After checking in, find your first game table. Pairings will be drawn the evening before the event (by 8:00 PM) on Stats and will include your table number (e.g., Game 1 = Table 1). Set up at your table before the general welcome at 9:40 AM and place your armies and accessories there. Have printed copies of your two lists ready for your opponent. 9:40 AM: General welcome by Hits and Crits 9:45 AM: Final call for registration 10:00 AM: Start of Round 1 After the first game at 12:00 PM, lunch break begins (lunch is included in the fee), followed by the final two rounds for Saturday. After Round 3, the finalists for the Top Cut of the painting contests will be announced. The Top Cut will then be judged by the jury. Afterward, join us for the After Party, which includes dinner and socializing at the Feuervogel Bar-Restaurant(Wandsbeker Chaussee). You can sign up via Google Docs (see link below). Dinner and Socializing Hits and Crits aims to bring the Song of Ice and Fire community (not just in Northern Germany) closer together. You’re following the call to Hamburg, and we want to bring you all to one table! We’ve reserved a large, separate room (much bigger than last year) at Feuervogel, Wandsbeker Chaussee, for dinner, drinks, and socializing on Saturday evening. The location is a restaurant and cocktail bar, about 15 minutes by carfrom the tournament (or 30 minutes by public transport – Wandsbeker Chaussee subway station is a 3-minute walk from the restaurant). You can order individually from the menu, and Happy Hour for cocktails starts at 9:00 PM. Beer is available, too. On Swebenhöhe Street, there are street parking spaces, but availability varies. A small parking lot next to the school gym (Swebenhöhe) has space for about 6 cars. A larger parking lot near the sports halls is located behind the school (opposite house number Bramfelder Weg 111, which you can enter in your GPS). This lot has space for about 20 cars but is also used by residents. Most participants should hopefully find parking here, but there’s no guarantee. In Bramfelder Weg itself, you can park along the street in the rear section. Please use the main entrance on Swebenhöhe. You might want to unload your gear first before looking for a parking spot. We’re super excited to see you all and are doing everything we can to make this event a huge success.
